Not everyone has the luxury of being able to grow up going to the mountains to ski or snowboard—even if they’re on the horizon of your city. So Winter Park brings a ski hill to an urban setting every year in a little park called Ruby Hill just a mile or two from downtown Denver. This small act has a profound effect on the community, bringing snowsports to people who would otherwise never experience it.
